AshAditi was born and raised in Africa and educated in United Kingdom gaining a Masters Degree in Textile & Knitwear Design and Technology.

AshAditi has worked in Canadian Textile and affiliated industries for the past 30 years during her residence in Toronto. AshAditi is a Textile specialist, an independent consultant, an educator and a facilitator in all aspects including Design, Technology and Art/Crafts.

AshAditi's expertise and extensive experience in the Textile Industry as a whole, accommodates the ability to build bridges throughout the chain link between the manufacturing industry, retail industry professionals, academic institutes, arts/crafts professionals, and social and business cultures globally.

AshAditi have been highly successful in bringing together materials in the fields of design, integration of innovative technology, industry, manufacture, retail, education, arts/crafts and decorations, by conducting lectures, workshops, seminars and trade shows.

At present, AshAditi teaches at Ryerson University and is the Toronto Regional Representative of the Ontario Crafts Council; and an active Board member of York Region Arts Council.

Volunteering is AshAditi's traditional passion, and over the years' of involvement has made immeasurable  contributions to various multicultural communities, organizations and individuals within GTA. AshAditi is a recipient of  the Governor General's award and an award for 15 years' of volunteer service from the Minister of Citizenship.

AshAditi believes that a volunteer has to be from an active, dynamic, and creative individual. One who possesses the skills, desire, patience, time and understanding to accomplish a wide variety of tasks for all ages in Canadian multicultural community, by creating bridges of support or, acting as bridges of support of the information and services to human development globally.

AshAditi has made and will continue to make valuable contributions socially trying to promote cross-cultural solutions, by participating in the development of  meaningful community development; by facilitating hands-on service and cultural exchange with the aim of fostering cultural understanding; building trust and reciprocity among members of the wider community.
